Euro 2008 - Chivu: Group Of Death Doesn't Scare Us

Romania star Cristian Chivu is adamant that his side did not overawed against Group C opponents Italy, France and the Netherlands.
Romania are big underdogs Group, which has rightly been billed "the group of death", but despite that, a great challenge, which expects them to Austria and Switzerland this month, Chivu insists that they are in confident mood.
"It's been a long time, because we came to the final of a major tournament, but we expect a challenge," said Chivu
"We have a young side who are very, whom the finals, so we go to games without fear."
Late and a dramatic injuries Italian captain Fabio Cannavaro, Holland speed-demon Ryan Babel and the French midfield enforcer Patrick Vieira certainly does not hurt Romania's cause, but Chivu insists that it has sympathy instead of "schadenfreude," that he feel.s
"It is a pity that they are going to miss a major tournament such as this, and I am particularly sorry to my friend and team-mate Patrick [Vieira]," said Inter defender.
"It could happen to me, it could happen to anybody."
Romania has participated in their first major tournament since Euro 2000, where he knocked in particular, out of Kevin Keegan's England, starting their campaign against France in June 9.
